Sunday April 30th 2006 Paramount Speakers on Sunday nights starts at 7pm! This is the new start time from now on. Birthday Potlucks will begin at 5pm on last Sunday of every month for birthday participants.

About Us

The Paramount Group began as a small group of AA's seeking to create the kind of fellowship they craved, a fellowship based on the principles of recovery outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Its first meeting was held on Sunday night April 18th 1999 at 8:00pm at the Imperial Alano Club, 8021 Rosecrans Ave, and it presently continues to meet every Sunday night at the same location. (beginning April 30th 2006, new start time 7pm)

It quickly grew into an active and enthusiastic home group for some of us and we hope for many more still to come.

We now hold three weekly meetings:

Traditional AA speaker meeting 10 minute speaker followed by Main speaker, lots of enthusiasm and laughter, Speaker Schedule


The Depth & Weight Group
Tuesday Night 8pm

AA speaker shares their experiance with a particular step each week using the Big Book for reference, followed by Questions and Answers or topic related Discussion many newcomers and alot of energy Speaker Schedule

Steps and Traditions Workshop
Wednesday Night 8pm
Norwalk Metropolitan State Hospital
Cider House Bldg # 209 (upstairs in primary)
Rotating leaders take group through the Big Books directions and the steps are taken as they are covered in book. Session lasts as many weeks as it takes to finish the directions for steps 1-12 in the 1st 103 pages. (Dr.'s Opinion thru Working with Others). Questions and Answers strongly encouraged at any point during the meeting, Special help provided on inventory if needed (inventories are not shared in the group). Long Form of a Tradition studied on the last Wednesday of the Month with Speaker, Q & A. Bring your book, pen, paper, highlighter, and a newcomer. Speaker Schedule

the 3rd, Friday of every month at 8pm
Norwalk Metropolitan State Hospital Cider House Bldg # 209 (downstairs in detox)

The Paramount Group's Womens Skid Row Panel
Meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 7:00pm at the Imperial Alano Club and then carpools down to Safe Harbor.

AA speaker shares their experiance with a particular step each week using the Big Book for reference, followed by Questions and Answers or topic related Discussion. This meeting was the inspiration behind The Depth and Weight Group. We have alot of friends here, strong message, good fellowship.

In addition to our regular meetings we also host activities dealing with various aspects our simple program. These events provide not only the opportunity for all of us to listen to some of AA's greatest messengers talk about the tools that are the difference between life and death for so many, but also gives us the chance actively participate in our own recovery.
